Simona Guatieri is one of the sexiest showgirls out there from Milan and we had the chance to get an interview exclusively for BlueLIT Magazine!
When and how did you start your career as a model and showgirl, how were you introduced to the showbiz world?
I started when i was 15, in this commercial for Tiscali, an Italian web provider company. I then attended this training course at the Academy of Franco Battaglia, it was then that I took my first steps into the world of fashion with my first cameos in TV shows and fashion shootings. Although it was a pretty busy beginning I quickly learned that, regardless, I just couldn’t give up on my studies and rush things; I have my parents to thanks for making me realize this more than anybody else.
How did your contribution in the “Spanish Satiric News” actually changed you’re life, and not only from a professional standpoint?
This experience I had in Spain was really a huge breakthrough, I left all those issues i had related to my timidity behind me. I also acquired different skills, of course dancing was a must but I also had to learn Spanish in order to properly do my job. I believe that all those experiences we live abroad, or anywhere away from home for that matter, are something we really treasure and make us far stronger people.
So you appeared alongside the world champion Shkodran Mustafi in a music music video by famous singer Ardian Bujupi… We are sure you have some interesting things to say.
Well, I do actually! Funny story, I first met Shkodran in Spain, he then contacted me for this music video, it turned out the whole song was in German, not only that, the script of the video was in German as well. Of course not knowing the language I panicked a little but Shkodran helped me every step of the way, went all of its way to explain the lyrics of the song and help me understand the scenes we were about to shoot. That was I day a fondly remember, I couldn’t be happier to have met such wonderful people like Shkodran and Ardian. We still keep in touch, we are very good friends!
All of these magazines covers, important photo shootings, shows… We were wondering what do you feel when you pose or appear in a show?
The moment I start to pose or i present a show i feel like I can leave all of my problems behind me, all the fears and insecurities stay behind the scenes, what you see from that moment is a different Simona all around. You know, it’s really hard to explain… I guess all the adrenaline that fuels me when I do my job really makes me feel that what I do is the most natural thing in the world for me, it’s very spontaneous.
In Italy you are the testimonial for the International Adoption campaign by Cifa Onlus. Tell us more about the project #noiconloro (“we’re with them”).
Yes, I am a testimonial and completely endorse this project developed by Cifa Onlus. I always think about how fortunate I am to have a family that always allowed me to dream and follow my dreams. These “dreams” are what I’m trying to grant with this campaign, to make people sensitive about this issue so that they may give a well deserved future to these children that, sadly, cannot have on their own.
The world of show business is full of envy and hatred. You, though, are really close friend with you colleague Claudia Parini, what would you suggest to everyone out there that aspire at following you’re very same dream?
There is a lot of envy but despite that I am a really close friend with Claudia, never I looked at her with envy, and I think the same goes with her, not only that, when one of us had any kind of issue or had to make some work related decisions, we could always count on each other. Recently Claudia had to quit her job as a model in Milan due to some health problems and I stood beside her and supported her in any way I could. To all the girls that want to work in this world I highly suggest they study a lot, and don’t bother with feelings like envy since not only it’s a waste of your energy, it’s also not healthy at all. Persistence and patience is hat you’ll need and mostly a lot, and I mean A LOT of fortune! ; )
